Our story began in 1968, when the Taylor County Hospital District purchased the historic Rosary Hospital from the Dominican Order of St. Catharine. As the healthcare needs of the region continued to grow, construction of the new Taylor County Hospital began in 1972, marking the beginning of a new era of community-focused healthcare. Through decades of expansion, innovation, and investment, the hospital evolved to better serve the region and, on July 11, 2003, officially became Taylor Regional Hospital—a name that reflects our growing reach and dedication to patients across Central Kentucky.
Today, Taylor Regional Hospital is a 90-bed, independent, community-owned, not-for-profit hospital serving more than 110,000 residents throughout Central Kentucky.
