Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient Obstetrics & Gynecology care for women across all stages of life.
Diagnose and treat a broad range of gynecologic conditions utilizing evidence-based medicine.
Deliver comprehensive prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn maternal care.
Perform routine and high-risk obstetrical deliveries as clinically appropriate.
Perform gynecologic surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgeries utilizing the da Vinci 5 Robotic Surgical System.
Evaluate, counsel, and manage patients regarding contraception, infertility, menopause, preventive care, and women's wellness.
Interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies to develop individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Participate in a shared call schedule averaging approximately seven (7) days per month.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation utilizing the hospital's electronic medical record system.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and hospital committees as desired.
Maintain board certification, Kentucky medical licensure, DEA registration, and all required credentialing.
Demonstrate a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care while fostering positive relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and the community.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will possess:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Eligible for unrestricted Kentucky medical licensure and DEA registration.
Strong clinical and surgical skills, including an interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A collaborative, team-oriented approach to patient care.
A commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based women's healthcare in a community-focused setting.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Successful completion of an accredited Obstetrics & Gynecology residency program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Eligible for unrestricted Kentucky medical licensure.
Current or eligible DEA registration.
Ability to obtain medical staff privileges at Taylor Regional Hospital.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
Excellent clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with minimally invasive and robotic-assisted gynecologic surgery (or interest in robotic surgery training).
Experience in a full-spectrum OB/GYN practice, including obstetrics, gynecologic surgery, and outpatient women's health.
Interest in building a long-term practice and serving a growing Central Kentucky community.
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence.
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Practice Schedule
Outpatient Clinic is open: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM ( a clinic schedule to be mutually agreed upon)
Dedicated operating room time for gynecologic and robotic-assisted surgical procedures
Established Women's Health clinic with an efficient, experienced support staff
Balanced mix of office practice, surgery, and obstetrics
Call Coverage
Shared call schedule averaging approximately seven (7) days per month
Collaborative call rotation designed to promote continuity of care while supporting physician wellness
Call schedule allows physicians to maintain a healthy balance between career, family, and personal time
