This community hospital is a well-established healthcare facility serving the Anderson region with comprehensive surgical services. The facility features a 15-bed department and holds a Level 3 trauma designation, providing a dynamic and supportive environment for surgical professionals.Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - GeneralJob Details:
- Provide general surgery coverage every weekend from Thursday 7:00PM through Monday 7:00AM, or every other weekend on the same schedule
- Handle 8 patient encounters per shift in a 15-bed department
- Perform adult general surgery procedures in a Level 3 trauma facility
- Manage trauma cases as required by the facility's trauma designation
- Must hold an active Indiana medical license - no out-of-state or IMLC licenses accepted
- Board certification required (minimum board certification eligible)
- BLS certification required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days
- Locum Tenens engagement with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2027 on an ongoing basis
- Nearest airport is Indianapolis International (IND)
- Lodging accommodations available at provider's choice up to $200/night
Compensation:
