The Psychiatry Department delivers comprehensive behavioral healthcare across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and partial hospitalization settings, with strong academic affiliations and a physician-led culture focused on provider wellness and professional growth.Opportunity:
Physician - PsychiatryJob Details:
- Provide high-quality outpatient psychiatric care within Adult Ambulatory Services
- Join an established, collaborative team of psychiatrists and advanced practice providers
- Participate in resident supervision and academic medical student teaching opportunities
- Eligible for faculty appointment through affiliation with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine
- Monday through Friday schedule with no required after-hours call
- Optional moonlighting opportunities available
- Access to Provider Leadership Development Institute resources
- Dedicated support through an Office of Provider Wellness
- Department services include adult dual-diagnosis inpatient, adolescent inpatient, Emergency Department psychiatry, consult-liaison psychiatry, PHP, IOP, and adult/child/adolescent outpatient behavioral health services
- MD or DO degree required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Must be eligible for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license
- Interest in academic psychiatry and resident education preferred
- Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered behavioral healthcare
