Psychiatrist – Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry
Location: Saranac Lake, New York
Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
Compensation: $325,000 – $350,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Opportunity
A respected healthcare organization in upstate New York is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join its inpatient geriatric psychiatry service. Practice Setting
You will provide care on a 12-bed acute inpatient geriatric psychiatry unit serving adults age 50 and older. The role involves working closely with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nursing staff, social workers, and therapists to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered psychiatric care.
Position Highlights
- Full-time inpatient geriatric psychiatry role

- Manage evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of geriatric psychiatric patients
- Lead multidisciplinary treatment planning and daily rounds

Candidate Profile
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Eligible for New York State medical licensure
- Strong interest in geriatric psychiatry and inpatient care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
