A nationally recognized non-profit, independent health system in Connecticut with over 4,100 employees, providing high-quality, patient-centered care, is adding a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.
About the Opportunity:
- Total outpatient
- Health system consists of a 305-bed hospital and a Medical Group with 40+ office locations
- The hospital is a primary teaching site for Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons
- Join an innovative and trailblazing program for treating pediatric patients in emotional and behavioral crisis
- Opening one of the first pediatric Emergency Psychiatry Assessment, Treatment, and Healing (EmPATH) units in the nation, which will be complemented by a short-term 12-week outpatient crisis stabilization program
- This role will be 50% EmPATH unit-based and 50% outpatient crisis stabilization office-based
- The psychiatrist will round on the EmPATH unit weekday mornings and then spend afternoons providing outpatient follow-up care to patients recently discharged from EmPATH
- Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
- No required call or weekend shifts
