We are seeking a Pediatrician (MD or DO) to provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care to infants, children, and adolescents in a community-focused Indian Health Service facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys building long-term patient relationships while delivering high-quality preventive, acute, and chronic pediatric care in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Specialty: Pediatrics
• Practice Setting: Outpatient Pediatric Clinic
• Location: Reno, Nevada
• Assignment Dates: 6-Months with an option to extend.
Patient Population
• Newborns through Adolescents (0–18 years)
• Well-child visits
• Same-day sick visits
Scope of Practice
The Pediatrician will provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric services, including:
• Preventive Care
• Well-child examinations
• Developmental screenings
• Growth monitoring
• School and sports physicals
• Immunizations
• Preventive health counseling
• Nutrition and wellness education
• Acute Care
Procedures
The provider should be comfortable performing routine outpatient pediatric procedures, including:
• Well-child examinations
• Developmental assessments
• Routine pediatric procedures
• Minor wound care
• Laceration repair (if required)
• Basic splinting (if required)
• Vision and hearing screenings
Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
• Active Nevada State License
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Current DEA Registration
