Facility:
This facility is a Level II Trauma Center serving approximately 40,000 adult emergency visits annually, offering a well-supported environment for orthopedic surgery. The department is staffed with an APP and MA who assist with triage, and a designated 7am OR block is available each day to support general and trauma ortho cases.Opportunity:
Physician - Orthopaedic SurgeryJob Details:
- Locum Tenens in-house call coverage - 1 weekend per month, Friday 7am to Monday 7am for Level II Orthopedic Trauma Call
- Start date: 7/1/2026 - Ongoing
- Level II Trauma Center with approximately 40,000 adult emergency visits per year
- General and trauma orthopedic cases with approximately 8 hours of total patient-facing time per day
- APP and MA on staff to assist with triage purposes
- 7am OR block available each day; no designated trauma ORs
- Polytraumas and pelvic fractures are transferred out; higher level of care transfers go to Springfield with subspecialty ortho call coverage
- Trauma fellowship preferred but Level II trauma experience is acceptable
- Active Missouri medical license required (MO license only)
- Board certification required (minimum: certified)
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30 days
- Required certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
- Preferred specialty skills include: arthroscopy, total joint replacement (hip, knee, and other), joint revision or repair (shoulder, hip, knee, and other), hand surgery, tendon release/repair, peripheral nerve surgery, spinal surgery with and without instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar), and percutaneous disc surgery
