This clinic is part of a well-established healthcare network serving the Upper Peninsula region of Michigan. The facility operates a busy ophthalmology practice with three procedure rooms and two highly experienced and knowledgeable medical assistants providing strong support to providers.Opportunity:
Physician - OphthalmologyJob Details:
- Locum Tenens clinic and surgical position with no call required
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8AM-5PM
- Preferred schedule of two weeks on, two weeks off - first week focused on surgeries and procedures, second week focused on follow-up appointments
- Minimum of 4 clinic patients per hour required; approximately 20 patient encounters per shift
- Must be capable of performing 12-14 procedures and/or surgeries per day
- Cataract surgery and intravitreal injections are required skills
- Perform anterior segment surgical procedures including cataract removal, phacoemulsification, extracapsular extraction, intracapsular extraction, and intraocular lens implants
- Perform glaucoma and corneal surgical procedures
- Perform intraocular injections
- Conduct and interpret ultrasound studies (A and B-Scan)
- Interpret photos, fluorescein angiography, and optical coherence tomography
- Board certification required with active MI license or IMLC eligibility
- BLS certification required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
