This is a well-established Level 1 trauma center offering comprehensive medical services to the surrounding region. The facility provides strong support for locum providers, including lodging arrangements, and serves as a key healthcare resource for the community.Opportunity:
Physician - Radiation OncologyJob Details:
- Provide Radiation Oncology coverage December 28-31; provider must be on-site during all scheduled hours and dates
- Regular on-site hours: Monday through Friday, 0700 to 1500 for inpatient consultation duties
- See patients in office as needed based on patient volume and demand
- Oversee scheduled radiation treatments; physician must be physically on-site while radiation treatments are being administered
- Available to round and consult on inpatients as requested
- Responsible for new consult visits, follow-up visits, treatment planning for new patients, and OTV (on-treatment weekly visits)
- Documentation of all patient contact hours is required
- No formal on-call or after-hours requirement; rare emergent consultation requests occur only once or twice per year and carry no callback obligation
- Board certification required; candidates must be board certification eligible at minimum
- Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC required to be considered
- Required certifications include ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 10 days
- Nearest airport is Pittsburgh; lodging arrangements will be made by the facility
