This regional medical center serves the western North Carolina community with a dedicated obstetrics and gynecology department featuring 11 beds. The facility offers strong provider support and is affiliated with a sister hospital, providing potential for additional shift opportunities within the network.Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and GynecologyJob Details:
- Locum Tenens coverage with an immediate major need for December 18-25, with the opportunity to join the provider pool on an ongoing basis
- Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services with 4-6 patient encounters per shift in hospital
- NC Medicaid Eligibility is required
- Active North Carolina medical license required
- Board certification required; temporary privileges available with clean malpractice history and NPDB
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
- ACLS certification required
- Manage both low and high risk pregnancies
- Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
- Conduct OB Ultrasounds including Level I/Screening (viability) with performance and interpretation capabilities
- Provide routine delivery services including vaginal deliveries and decision-making for c-sections
- Handle complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
- Perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
- Provide office and minor gynecology services including IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
- Provide surgical gynecology services including open procedures, laparoscopic diagnostic and minor procedures, and operative/major procedures including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
- Nearest airport is Asheville, NC with lodging recommendations available
