Facility:
This is a community-based hospital serving the Medford, Wisconsin area with a Level 4 trauma designation. The facility focuses on outpatient and surgical gynecology services and does not operate a birthing center, making this an ideal setting for a provider interested in clinic and surgical-based OB/Gyn work without obstetric call responsibilities.Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and GynecologyJob Details:
- Locum Tenens assignment beginning January 4, 2027 on an ongoing basis
- No call required; clinic hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Alternating week schedule (1st and 3rd OR 2nd and 4th week of the month)
- One Monday per month dedicated to a full surgery day, followed by clinic Tuesday and Wednesday in Medford
- One Monday per month dedicated to a half surgery day and half clinic day in Phillips, followed by clinic Tuesday and Wednesday in Medford
- Patient encounters per shift vary; visits may range from very few up to approximately 7 per day
- Most visits will consist of surgical consultations and cases outside of NP scope of practice, with some general OB/Gyn visits
- Procedures include gynecological surgeries such as hysterectomies
- Office and minor gynecology procedures required (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
- Laparoscopic diagnostic and minor surgical procedures required (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromotubation)
- BLS certification required
- Active Wisconsin license or IMLC required
- Credentialing timeframe is approximately 60-90 days
- Nearest airport: MSP (Minneapolis-Saint Paul)
- Lodging available at Boarders Inn, Medford, WI
