This hospital-based facility is a Level III Trauma center offering comprehensive women's health and labor and delivery services to the surrounding community. The facility provides strong institutional support and is focused exclusively on inpatient care, making it an excellent environment for providers seeking a dedicated laborist-style practice setting.Opportunity:
Board Certified - OB/GYNJob Details:
- Locum Tenens OB/GYN opportunity providing inpatient labor and delivery coverage while the organization recruits a permanent physician
- Approximately 36 hours per week with a mix of day and night shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Monday through Friday coverage; no call coverage required
- 100% inpatient, hospital-based practice focused exclusively on labor and delivery patients
- Average daily census of 1 to 9 laboring patients with an average of 3 cesarean sections performed per day
- Manage labor and delivery patients including labor floor management and patient inductions
- Perform cesarean sections
- Manage gynecological emergencies presenting through the Emergency Department
- Provide inpatient gynecological consultations
- EMR: Cerner / Oracle
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 3 months; temporary privileges available
- Current New Jersey license required (or willingness to obtain)
- Board Certified OB/GYN required
- NPDB report required at offer (within 30 days)
