This regional medical center serves as a cornerstone of healthcare in southern New Mexico, providing comprehensive women's health and obstetric services to the surrounding community. The facility features a 12-bed department with a Level 3 trauma designation, offering a dynamic and well-supported environment for locum providers.Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Obstetrics and GynecologyJob Details:
- Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services with up to 25 patient encounters per shift
- Manage both low and high risk pregnancies
- Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
- Conduct OB ultrasounds with performance and interpretation capabilities, including Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
- Perform amniocentesis procedures
- Handle routine deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, and decision-making for c-sections
- Manage complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
- Perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
- Active New Mexico medical license required - no IMLC accepted
- Board certification required (Certified level minimum)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days
- Nearest airport is El Paso, TX with lodging recommendations available nearby
