This medical center is a community-based healthcare facility providing comprehensive women's health services. The facility features an 8-bed department with a Level 4 trauma designation, serving the local population with quality obstetrical and gynecological care.

Job Details:
• Locum tenens coverage beginning in October for most weekends
• Weekend call schedule from noon Friday until 7am Monday (approximately 9-10 call days per month)
• Manage 2-4 patient encounters per shift • Handle low risk pregnancies (required) and high risk pregnancies (preferred)
• Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Conduct Level I/Screening ultrasounds for viability assessment
• Perform amniocentesis procedures as needed
• Manage routine vaginal deliveries and low forceps deliveries
• Decision-making authority for c-section cases
• Handle complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, and abruptions
• Manage VBAC cases as required
• Perform repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Provide surgical gynecology services including laparoscopic procedures (tubal ligation, LOA's, etc.)
• Perform operative/major procedures including ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
• Must have active Texas medical license (licensed in TX only)
• Board certification required with BLS certification
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30-45 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid Travel and Lodging.
