This is a top-tier health system in northern Michigan providing comprehensive inpatient care to the surrounding community. The facility utilizes Cerner as its electronic health record system and offers strong APP support for admissions, allowing providers to focus on rounding and quality patient care.Opportunity:
Board Certified - NocturnistJob Details:
- Night shift Nocturnist coverage providing 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Schedule follows a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
- Coverage period runs from December 2026 through June 2027
- Responsible for rounding and intermittent staffing of inpatient cases with occasional code coverage
- APP support handles admissions
- Manages approximately 16 inpatient encounters per day
- Practice setting is hospital-based, Adult Inpatient without ICU/CCU
- Required skills include Internal Medicine and Adult Inpatient care
- Current EHR system is Cerner
- Active Michigan medical license required
- Board Certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- DEA required - verbal confirmation at name clear
- Clean background required for quick privileging
- Up-to-date employee health documentation required including flu vaccine, COVID documentation, TB testing, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and TDAP
