Mountain Emergency Physicians (MEP) is looking for a dedicated BC Hospitalist -Evening Admitter (IM or FP) Physician to join our Hospitalist program at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, North Carolina.
Highlights of the role:
- Ideal for a full-time physician who wants to live and work in the Hickory community. Flexability in employment model is available.
- Focused on floor calls and admissions with APP support
- Supported by in-house Critical Care coverage for 24/7 ICU management
- Supervision of Advanced Practice Providers (PAs/NPs)
- Collaboration with a stable, physician-led hospitalist team
- Excellent compensation and benefits package including a base salary, RVU bonus, sign-on bonus, and malpractice coverage
- Flexible contract models available: Employment or 1099
- Employed Retirement Contribution of $72,000 per year

Job Responsibilities:
- Night shift hospitalist coverage (2 PM – 12 AM), 7 on/7 off - 10 hour shifts
- Admissions and inpatient patient rounding
- Supervision and collaboration with APP
- Collaboration with in-house Critical Care team
- Contribution to quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives
