Dillon, SC is seeking a full time locum Hospitalist to begin this Spring.

Location: Dillon, South Carolina offers genuine small-town charm with a strong sense of community and Southern hospitality. Located in the northeastern part of the state near the North Carolina border, Dillon provides a relaxed pace of life while still offering convenient access to larger cities and coastal destinations. The town is rich in history and local pride, highlighted by landmarks like the Dillon County Courthouse and popular community events such as the South of the Border attractions nearby. Dillon is an appealing place for those seeking simplicity, affordability, and a welcoming hometown atmosphere.

Opportunity: Locum Hospitalist

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified – Internal Medicine
  • Active South Carolina Medical License
  • Active CSR
  • DEA that can be permanently registered in the state of South Carolina

Assignment Details:

  • Seeking full time (7on/7off) coverage beginning either March 31st or April 1st. Orientation will either be March 30th or March 31st
  • Schedule cycle runs Tuesday – Monday; 7on/7off
  • Call alternates every other day/night and lasts for 24 hours.
  • One of the physicians coming in on Tuesday will take over call that Monday evening at 7pm and they will cover call until Tuesday morning at 7am (which is when the other Physician coming on will take over), then the 24 hour alternating call cycle begins until the following Monday evening.
  • Physician on call handles all admissions from ED and handles calls on patients from the floor.
  • Average daily census for the hospitalist service is 21 patients, and there are 2 hospitalists that work at a time; therefore, each hospitalist averages anywhere from 10-22 PPD.
  • There are no APPs
  • Open ICU (6 ICU beds). Procedures would be a nice plus, but is not required. However, Hospitalists do need to read EKGs and do stress tests.
  • Rural facility, and there is an onsite call house.
  • EMR: EPIC

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid Travel and lodging.
