Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist with a strong interest in malignant Hematology to develop and lead our local malignant Hematology program as part of a collaborative regional subspecialty network.

This unique opportunity offers a predominantly malignant Hematology practice, with minority benign Hematology and general Hem/Onc call. There is flexibility to incorporate solid tumor oncology into the practice, based on your interests and desired clinical balance. You will work in close collaboration with Kaiser Oakland’s regional subspecialty lymphoma/leukemia, myeloproliferative neoplasm, and CAR-T cell therapy teams, and coordinate pre- and post-treatment care for patients undergoing CAR-T cell therapy and autologous/allogeneic stem cell transplantation in partnership with Stanford. You will admit locally for induction chemotherapy of acute myeloid leukemia. Under close senior physician mentorship, you will also deliver bispecific antibody treatment locally in Santa Rosa, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

This position offers ample opportunities to conduct research in malignant Hematology as part of the most active clinical trials team in the region. Daily clinic has 10-12 patients per day on average, including up to two new consults, and two hours of total patient management time per day, or ten hours per week. Meeting time for regional leukemia, lymphoma, and MPN tumor boards is granted. Call is every six weeks, in equal rotation with five practice partners.

Ideal candidates are board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology/Oncology, with a passion for collaborative care, and the opportunity to build a cutting-edge local subspecialty practice under the mentorship of a strong local senior physician, and with the expertise and resources of a larger regional team.
