About the Role
A regional healthcare system in Indiana is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for a full-time locum assignment. This is a 4-day clinical week with Mondays off, a manageable outpatient volume, and a mix of 65% Oncology + 35% Hematology.
Position Highlights
- Full-time locum coverage: 4 weeks/month required
- 4-day clinic week, 8 AM-5 PM + 1-hour unpaid lunch
- Mondays off / administrative day
- ~18–20 patients/day
- 65% Oncology + 35% Hematology
- Multiple clinic locations + no telemedicine
- Weekend call rotation + APP backup coverage
- Competitive locum compensation + call pay
Job Responsibilities
- Develop treatment plans, monitor disease progression + coordinate specialty care
- Provide clinical support across multiple locations as scheduled
- Participate in weekday/night + weekend call rotation; primarily phone availability with APP support
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience
- Active Indiana license or IMLC
- BLS required; ACLS as applicable
- Case logs required for submission
Working Hours
- Availability: Must commit to 4 weeks/month
- Weekend call: Friday 5 PM-Monday 7 AM on rotation
