An outpatient healthcare organization is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment in Lakewood, New Jersey. This role offers a mix of clinic and procedural work in a collaborative setting with established support staff.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday (3 clinic days and 2 procedural days per week)
- Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Setting: Outpatient
Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient gastroenterology care for patients with a range of digestive conditions
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage gastrointestinal disorders
- Collaborate with a Physician Assistant, Medical Assistant, and other support staff
- Maintain patient care in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Active New Jersey medical license or eligibility through IMLC
- Ability to perform diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures, including ERCP
Desired Skills:
- Experience with outpatient gastroenterology practice settings
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks, Epic, or Provation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
