Job description <span id="HRS_SCH_PSTDSC_DESCRLONG$1"> <p>The University of Missouri–Columbia, Department of Medicine is seeking a Division Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology to provide strategic, clinical, academic, and administrative leadership for a growing division. This position is critical to the creation and advancement of a comprehensive Gastroenterology Academic Center, integrating excellence in clinical care, education, and research.<br>The Division Chief will lead development of research, education, and clinical service, while building and strengthening specialized clinical and academic programs.</p><p>The mission of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is to provide a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approach to digestive health and to teach the art and science of gastroenterology to highly motivated and accomplished internists.</p><p>The Missouri Digestive Health Center offers six lines of service with a specialized team of physicians, nurses, and researchers who are highly trained and dedicated to digestive health. These lines of service include: advanced and therapeutic endoscopy, colorectal cancer screening, liver diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases, neuromuscular and swallowing disorders, and nutritional sciences.</p><p>Our physicians, nurses, and researchers are able to provide the best possible care to our patients by utilizing cutting edge technology, advanced research, and effective patient education.<br>MU Health Care offers more than 50 primary and specialty clinics and a comprehensive system of six hospitals.
