Job description
Job description
We are seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for five openings, plus a leadership role, at a community hospital in Findlay, Ohio. This medium-acuity ED sees about 39,000 visits a year, with steady volume, strong surgical and specialist support, and AI-assisted charting.
WHAT SETS THIS APART
- Backed by more than just a name: A community hospital that outperforms its size, with the support of a national EM network behind every shift. You're never out there solo.
- Volume that's manageable, not maxed out: Steady, moderate volume with medium acuity, enough to stay sharp without burnout.
- Charting that stays at work: AI-assisted documentation tools mean charting gets finished before you leave.
- A schedule designed to hold up: Round-the-clock physician coverage with daily APC support, built around clean 12-hour shifts.
- A career with actual direction: Real growth and leadership paths, including a leadership opening, and full support if you simply want to do great clinical work.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- Annual ED volume: approximately 39,000 visits (about 2.1 patients per hour)
- 25 ED beds, including 2 behavioral health rooms and 2 trauma bays
- Acuity: medium; admission rate approximately 12%
- 38 hours of physician coverage and 20 hours of APC coverage daily
- Level III trauma center with strong surgical back-up
- EMR: Cerner with Dragon dictation and an AI scribe
- Consistent, long-tenured nursing team
- Specialists on call, including in-house hospitalists, OB, pediatrics, nephrology, and neurosurgery
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- $230/hour for day shifts; $240/hour for night shifts
- Quarterly bonus of up to $20/hour based on patient satisfaction and length-of-stay metrics
- Independent contractor position
- Sign-on bonus available
- Paid malpractice insurance; CME funding and professional development
- Clinician wellness program and support from a national network of EM professionals
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred; physicians board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with EM experience will also be considered
- Ohio medical license (active or in progress)
- New graduates welcome to apply
