Job description
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine physician to join a community hospital in Sullivan, Indiana. This medium-acuity community ED sees about 8,400 annual visits, ideal for a physician who wants a manageable pace, strong specialty back-up, and a close-knit small-town setting.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital is dedicated to providing high-quality, individualized healthcare with compassion and integrity. On-campus services include a daytime urgent care clinic, Family Practice with OB deliveries, an Interventional Pain Clinic, and General Surgery and Orthopedic practices.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- Annual ED volume: approximately 8,400 visits
- 24-hour physician coverage per day; no APC coverage
- 10 ED beds; 15 hospital beds
- Acuity: medium; admission rate approximately 15%
- No fast track; no trauma designation
- No hospital medicine program
COMPENSATION
- $295/hour for day shifts
- $315/hour for night shifts
- Sign-on bonus available
REQUIREMENTS
- Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine background; board certified, board eligible, or non-boarded physicians welcome
- Minimum 1 year of emergency department experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Active Indiana medical license
