Job description
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine physician to join a busy community hospital in Kenmore, New York, just north of Buffalo. This medium-to-high acuity ED sees about 37,779 visits a year, with multiple physicians on each day, strong APC support, a fast track, and deep specialty back-up.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
Serving Buffalo's northern suburbs and Niagara County for more than 60 years, the hospital is a community facility with the services of a large hospital. It is a Joint Commission-accredited Magnet hospital with an "A" safety grade from the Leapfrog Group, offering a nationally recognized knee and hip center, stroke care, interventional radiology, and medical, surgical, and critical care.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- Annual ED volume: approximately 37,779 visits
- 33-36 physician hours and 22-28 APC hours daily
- 25 ED beds; 160 hospital beds
- Fast track available
- Acuity: medium-high; admission rate approximately 20%
- No trauma designation
- Hospital medicine program on site
COMPENSATION
- $255/hour for day shifts
- $260/hour for night shifts
- Sign-on bonus available
REQUIREMENTS
- Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Active New York medical license
