Healthcare Organization:
Regional Health System is a 155-bed, community-based teaching hospital and multi-specialty regional health system serving Southwest Georgia. As a private, not-for-profit organization, Regional medical center is nationally recognized for its excellence in patient care, physician satisfaction, and medical education. The system includes Graduate Medical Education Program, which provides residency training in Family Medicine and fosters a strong academic environment for physician development.
Opportunity: Emergency Medicine
• Opportunity to precept medical students and residents
• Schedule: Tuesday – Friday 12pm-9pm; extra pay for extra hours
• Facilities details: Newly-renovated 24-hour emergency department with 24 private patient
treatment rooms; rooms are equipped with Advanced Cardiac Monitoring Systems and
feature computers at the bedside for nurse documentation; hospital physicians’ lounge
with meals provided; 24-hour hospital fitness center; and a state-of-the-art medical
education center with simulation labs, a conference center, and more!
Requirements:
• Completion or upcoming completion of emergency medicine residency only
• Required Certifications/Licensures: Board-certified physician or board certification eligible
(if eligible, must obtain board certification within 5 years); Georgia Medical License or
participation in Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
Compensation:
• Salary: Competitive hourly rate and commensurate with experience; plus, an annual 3% cost-of-living adjustment as a W-2 hospital employee.
