Healthcare Organization:
A 155-bed, community-based teaching hospital and multi-specialty regional health system. As a private, not-for-profit organization, the regional health system is nationally recognized for quality, patient satisfaction, and physician engagement. The system features a state-of-the-art Medical Education Center, simulation labs, and a thriving physician group with medical student and resident involvement.
Opportunity: Full Time Anesthesiology
• Schedule: Monday through Friday; Start at 6:30am and have a rotate off schedule
as cases/rooms close
• Two anesthesiologists scheduled per shift
• Must be willing to perform solo cases with some opportunity to supervise CRNA’s
and AA’s
• Call: 1-in-8 call rotating on/off schedule Monday through Friday; no weekend call
required; home call is allowed.
• Expected Patient Volume: 40-50 cases per day; maximum of 10 operative sites
which includes 2 endoscopy suites and 2 obstetric rooms
• Technology: state-of-the-art medical equipment/technology; All new anesthesia
Mindray machines, including new ultrasounds; Additionally, we have a Glideslope
for emergency airways and Belmont for rapid infusers.
Requirements:
• Completion or upcoming completion of Anesthesiology residency
• Required Certifications/Licensures: Board certified physician or board certification
eligible (if eligible, must obtain board certification within 5 years); Georgia Medical
License or participation in Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
Cases:
• We do not perform cardiac or neurosurgery cases.
• Bread and Butter general anesthesia cases performed (nerve blocks, A-lines,
epidurals, etc.).
• 8-9 starts a day
• 700 cases a month (~200 of those are endoscopies)
• OB services (~800 deliveries a year)
• Lots of robotic cases; state-of-the-art medical equipment/technology (4 Da Vinci 5
Surgical Robots, the Mako Robot, C-arm, etc.
Compensation:
• Salary: Guaranteed salary is competitive and commensurate with experience; plus, an annual
3% cost-of-living adjustment.
