An inpatient orthopedic practice in Neptune City, NJ is seeking an Orthopedic Trauma Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage in a hospital-based setting. This role supports daily orthopedic trauma care, inpatient rounds, and coordination with the care team.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day Shift
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Hours: 6:30 AM-2:30 PM
- Setting: Inpatient hospital setting
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily inpatient rounds and floor work
- Round on pre-operative and post-operative patients
- Assist with consults and care coordination
- Complete discharges in a timely manner
- Assist other PAs with splinting as needed
Qualifications:
- Current Physician Assistant licensure
- Active DEA registration
- Active CDS registration
- Experience in orthopedic trauma, general surgery, or inpatient surgical care
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in a locum tenens assignment
- Familiarity with inpatient orthopedic trauma workflows
- Ability to collaborate effectively with another APP
