A growing orthopedic practice specializing in spine care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant to join its expanding team in central Connecticut, just 20 minutes from Hartford. This position is available due to continued growth and the opening of a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility.

This role is primarily outpatient-based, with an average daily patient volume of about 20 and NO CALL. Providers interested in incorporating first-assist responsibilities may have the option to do so, offering additional flexibility based on professional interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the spine surgeon with patient follow-ups and walk-in evaluations, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for spine-related and general orthopedic conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians to provide expert clinical support and maintain best-in-class patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and ongoing orthopedic health management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $112,000 – $137,000 annually
  • 401(k) with eligibility after 6 months

Qualifications

  • NCCPA Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of orthopedic experience, with preference for candidates experienced in spine care.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to independently assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of orthopedic conditions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
