A Westchester County-based healthcare system is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Critical Care team at their White Plains facility.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Days or Nights
- Schedule: Three 12.5-hour shifts per week, Monday through Sunday
- Hours: 12.5-hour shifts
- Setting: In-person, hospital ICU
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive critical care coverage across Surgical, Medical, and Neuro ICUs
- Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients
- Perform patient evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of previous Critical Care experience
- Master's Degree
- NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Experience managing critically ill patients in a mixed ICU setting
- Ability to work overnight shifts and manage high-acuity patients
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Surgical, Medical, or Neuro ICU environments
- Comfort working independently while utilizing physician support when clinically appropriate
