Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatry - Outpatient
Job Details:
- Locums outpatient psychiatric nurse practitioner position
- Work under a collaborative agreement with a mental health physician
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, education, and management for patients across the lifespan
- Assess medical and psychosocial histories, perform examinations, identify problems, and develop treatment plans
- Order and interpret laboratory tests as part of ongoing patient management
- Provide patient education and counseling to support informed treatment decisions
- Consult with or refer patients to the collaborating physician or other resources as needed
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Active Illinois RN and APRN licenses with prescriptive authority
- Active DEA registration
- Master's degree from an advanced practice nursing program, with psychiatric NP training
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Current CPR certification
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive
