Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Part-time) - IDD Clinic

A nonprofit healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Manhattan with occasional Bronx coverage. This part-time role provides psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and collaborative care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Part-time
• Schedule: Monday to Saturday
• Hours: 21 hours per week; approximately 15 hours during standard business hours, with remaining hours available in the evenings and/or on Saturdays
• Setting: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and clinical assessments
• Provide medication management for individuals with mental health needs
• Treat individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health conditions
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Support crisis intervention, documentation, compliance, and program growth efforts

Qualifications:

• Approximately 2+ years of experience or strong newer PMHNP experience with meaningful IDD exposure
• Active New York State Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license
• Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified (PMHNP-BC)
• Experience working with the intellectual and developmental disabilities population

Desired Skills:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Pediatric Psychiatry experience
• Experience supporting the development of behavioral health services or new programs
