A healthcare staffing organization is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a one-day assignment in Richmond, Virginia. This role supports a high-volume occupational health event focused on physical performance exams and clearance evaluations.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Tuesday, December 1
- Hours: Staff arrive at 7:00 AM; procedures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM; pack-up from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM
- Setting: On-site
Responsibilities:
- Perform Human Performance Exams and related occupational health screenings
- Assess functional movement, musculoskeletal stability, range of motion, strength, and endurance
- Evaluate lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling capabilities for job-specific requirements
- Identify medical limitations or restrictions that may affect work performance
- Provide fit-for-duty and medical clearance determinations based on clinical findings
- Document evaluations accurately and work collaboratively with onsite clinical and operational staff
Qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license
- Experience in occupational health, urgent care, employee health, or pre-employment screenings
- Ability to make clinical clearance decisions and assess functional capacity for job-specific tasks
- Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume screening setting and commit to a full shift
