Job description

Location:

Wichita Falls, Texas

Wichita Falls offers a welcoming North Texas community with an affordable cost of living and a relaxed lifestyle. Local Texas candidates are preferred for this on-site outpatient neurology opportunity.

Healthcare Organization:

Established outpatient neurology practice serving a substantial patient population. The practice has approximately 8,000 active patients and established protocols for diagnostic testing, follow-up studies, and ongoing patient management.

Opportunity:

An established outpatient neurology practice is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide ongoing patient care, with an initial schedule of three days per week. This opportunity is well suited for a provider experienced in outpatient care, medication management, and coordinating neurological follow-up services.

Details:

  • Practice Setting: Outpatient neurology, on-site

  • Schedule: Flexible scheduling, starting at three days per week

  • Patient Care: Primarily follow-up visits, medication management, and prescription refills

  • Diagnostic Testing: Order and review diagnostic testing and annual follow-up studies

  • Established Protocols: Follow existing protocols for retesting; providers are not responsible for independently determining which patients require repeat testing

  • Visit Format: Combination of in-person and telehealth visits

  • 15-20 patients per day

  • Patient Population: Private-pay, Medicaid, and commercially insured patients

  • Candidate Preference: Local Texas candidates preferred

  • Licensing and Supervision: The supervising physician will notify the appropriate licensing board and provide the required sponsorship and supervision. The provider will practice under the collaborating physician's license and oversight, in accordance with applicable Texas regulations.

  • Employment Options: Available as either an independent contractor or employee position

Compensation:

  • $100-110/hr depending on experience with weekly pay and malpractice coverage included.
