This is a well-established regional medical center offering comprehensive healthcare services to the Newport News community. The facility features a 22-bed Level 3 NICU with strong physician and advanced practice provider team support, ensuring high-quality neonatal care and a collaborative work environment.Opportunity:
Board Certified - NeonatologyJob Details:
- Per diem opportunity for an experienced, certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
- Join a team of 3 neonatologists and NNPs providing care in a 22-bed Level 3 NICU with an average daily census of 14
- Facility sees approximately 2,700 annual deliveries and 340 annual NICU admissions
- Night shifts only with varying shift lengths, including availability for weekend coverage
- Responsible for direct patient care with evening back-up neonatologist coverage from home
- Attend high-risk deliveries as part of care responsibilities
- Services include jet ventilators, HFJV, INO, and whole body cooling
- Active Virginia state license required; IMLC not accepted at this time
- Current APRN national specialty certification required
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing required
- Must have been clinically active within the past year
- Must have a clean background with no malpractice or license issues
- CV must be in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained
