Facility:
This is a large, academic medical center and Level 1 trauma facility offering a wide range of surgical specialties and comprehensive anesthesia services. The facility provides strong provider support with other anesthesia professionals on-site and operates under a medical direction model with a 2:1 or 3:1 CRNA to anesthesiologist ratio.Opportunity:
Advanced Practice (CRNA) - Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)Job Details:
- Provide anesthesia care across multiple surgical specialties including general, orthopedics, trauma, plastics, neurosurgery, pediatrics (ages 5 and up), endoscopy, NORA, robotic surgery, gynecology, and ENT
- Assess, prepare, and manage patients for anesthesia care in the perioperative and procedural period
- Develop and implement individualized anesthetic plans
- Perform history and physical examinations
- Obtain informed consent from patients prior to procedures
- Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations and post-operative assessments
- Administer General Anesthesia and Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC)
- Perform Spinal and IV Regional Block anesthesia techniques
- Manage invasive monitoring and placement including CVP/CVC and intra-arterial lines
- Perform airway management
- Minimum of 1 year of CRNA experience required, with experience established prior to credentialing completion
- Active Pennsylvania license required; IMLC accepted
- Board certification required with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- References must be provided upfront at time of submission
- Shift options include 10-hour shifts (8:30am-7:00pm) or 12-hour shifts (6:30am-7:00pm, with 7:00am start on Thursdays)
- No call requirement
- All overtime must be approved by department administration
- No guaranteed hours
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
