Company Information
Grace Women's Health is a collaborative physician and nurse midwife practice in Nampa, Idaho. We provide full-spectrum gynecologic and obstetrical care, with a focus on combining guideline-based care with shared decision-making. Currently we have one ob/gyn, five nurse-midwives, and we've recently added a family medicine physician. We deliver at St. Luke's Nampa Medical Center, an award-winning hospital, and their OB hospitalists provide backup support for our small practice.
Company History
The four founding providers (Dr. Megan Kasper, Teresa Blair CNM, Cortney Schnupp CNM, and Kathy Watkins CNM) worked together at Saltzer Health, a legacy local multi-specialty group. When that group was shut down by the large health system that purchased it, they decided to form a new group that would take their collaborative practice further. The practice's goal was two fold: 1) to use practitioner's expertise in patient care to directly structure the mechanics of care delivery, without five layers of admin in the way, and 2) to work toward a style of care where midwives formed the core, with physicians functioning in an integrated and readily available consultant role.
The focus on patient care and team dynamics has been very successful, with growth in 2 years to 8 providers and proportional support staff.
