Company Information
Vernon Memorial Healthcare includes Vernon Memorial Hospital, a critical access hospital with 25 beds; four physician clinics – Bland Clinic-VMH in Westby, Hirsch Clinic-VMH in Viroqua, La Farge Medical Clinic-VMH in La Farge, and Kickapoo Valley Medical Clinic-VMH in Soldiers Grove. The organization also owns and operates three retail pharmacies. In addition, VMH maintains relationships with regional healthcare providers and offers visiting specialty services located in the VMH Outpatient Specialty Care area. As an independent health system, VMH has established a strong relationship with Gundersen Health System. In addition to visiting specialty providers, Gundersen maintains Viroqua-based family medicine, orthopedic, and general surgery medical practices as well as renal dialysis and optometric services.
Vernon Memorial Hospital provides acute care services, swing bed services, as well as diagnostic, preventative and emergency services in support of the inpatient and outpatient healthcare needs of the communities we serve. The VMH medical staff includes board-certified physicians in family practice, general practice, general surgery, pediatrics, and orthopaedic surgery.
