Geriatric Psychiatry A large health system is seeking a second geriatric psychiatrist! Our partial hospitalization program is age 55 and over. This program is an alternative to a hospitalization program that treats patients with Mental Health problems that affect seniors. It is designed to keep geriatric patients out of the hospital. The Senior Access Team is an in-house geriatric assessment program that consults and helps with treatment for geriatric patients in the general hospital. We are expanding services in this area to include a specialized program for early diagnosis and treatment for Alzheimer's disease. Job duties include: * Consults in the hospital * seeing patients on inpatient daily * seeing patients at least 3 times a week at the Partial Program, and seeing patients in the office * 12 beds on the unit. * 80-100 patient visits a month * The Current physician sees up to 40 patients a day for 3 days a week * There is not a nurse in the office. There is an office manager and another assistant. * The two physicians will share call * There are 3 offices, and an extra 2-3 rooms in the building. This building will also holds the Senior Assessment Clinic.
