Wound Care Medical Director opening in Gadsden, AL - No Call
Located in Gadsden, AL – Birmingham 60m
Full-time; Contract
100% Outpatient
Medical Director / 90% Clinical, 10% Administrative
No Call or Inpatient Responsibilities
No Visa Assistance
Overview:
* Lead an established outpatient Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine service line
* 100% outpatient practice with no inpatient consults or responsibilities
* 90% clinical practice and 10% administrative leadership
* Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–4:30pm
* Fridays from 8:00am–12:00pm
* No call responsibilities
* Average daily volume of 13–16 clinic patients
* Additional 2–4 Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy patients per day
* Treat diabetic, venous, arterial, pressure and surgical wounds
* Two onsite Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy chambers
* Supported by Certified Wound Care RNs
* Established referral network from Podiatry, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Family Medicine
* Medical Director responsibilities include clinical chart review, policy development and ongoing staff education
* Opportunity to expand the service line and increase patient census
* Luvo EMR
* General Surgery, Podiatry, Plastic Surgery and Vascular Surgery backgrounds preferred
* Both experienced physicians and new graduates encouraged to apply
