Our client, a renowned healthcare provider, is looking for a Urologist - Academic Hospital to start right away.
Location: Bronx, NY
Responsibilities
- Join an established department alongside 1 full-time specialist and 2 nurse practitioners
- Significant existing patient demand with opportunity to quickly build volume
- Bread-and-butter general practice
- Schedule likely includes 2 half days of clinic with a mix of consults and operating room time
- Very flexible operating room, accessible for cases (current specialist may do 3 cases per half-day)
- Level II Trauma Center with limited trauma exposure (approximately 10-15 cases annually)
- Strong support from advanced practice providers taking first-line call responsibilities
- Leadership open to creative scheduling and call structures
- Future opportunity for a part-time female specialist due to patient demand
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in the relevant field
- Comfortable practicing broad-spectrum general procedures
- Interest in a community-based practice model
- Ability to perform:
- Cystoscopies
- Kidney stone management
- General consults and procedures
- Preference for experienced or mid-career professionals, though all qualified candidates will be considered
- Must be comfortable working in a non-robotic surgery environment (looking to add a robot in 2027)
Compensation
- Base salary 50% collections from dollar one
- Additional compensation for call above threshold
