Overview:

• Seeking a Board-Certified Urologist to provide comprehensive urology coverage, including inpatient rounding, emergency department consultations, inpatient consultations, and on-call urologic surgical procedures.
• Flexible scheduling is available, with providers able to work in 7-day stretches.

Schedule & Coverage:

• 24/7 call coverage
• Flexible scheduling, including 7-day coverage blocks
• Daytime inpatient rounding responsibilities
• Responsible for emergency department and inpatient urology consultations
• On-call surgical coverage as needed
• Call volume and callback requirements vary

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage patients requiring urologic care
• Round on hospitalized patients during the day
• Respond to emergency department and inpatient consultations
• Perform on-call urologic surgeries and procedures as clinically indicated
• Provide general urology services and manage urgent or emergent urologic conditions

Clinical Skills:

Experience in general urology is required. Relevant procedures and specialties listed for the assignment include:

• Advanced endoscopic techniques and ureteroscopy
• Laparoscopic and robotic urologic surgery
• Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and stone management
• Nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy, and adrenalectomy
• Radical prostatectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection
• Radical cystectomy with ileal loop conduit
• Transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) biopsies
• Renal and bladder ultrasound with biopsy
• Incontinence procedures and penile prosthesis
• Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL)

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Urology
• BLS certification required
• Candidates willing to obtain an Indiana state license are accepted.
• Travel and lodging provided.
