Defined Friday–Monday call blocks
Weekend-only trauma coverage
RN, APP, and onsite anesthesia support
No teaching or supervision
Assignment Details
Coverage window: January 25–April 30, 2027
Coverage needed every weekend, Friday at 7 a.m.–Monday at 7 a.m.
Must cover the full weekend block
Inpatient and emergency department call coverage
Average onsite callback time: approximately 4–5 hours per 24-hour shift; reported high of 8 hours
Patient mix: approximately 95% adult and 5% pediatric
Level III trauma hospital
Support: RNs, APPs, onsite anesthesia, laboratory, and X-ray
No other urologist onsite during locum coverage
Possible phone consults for a nearby affiliated location
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: approximately 90 days
Clinical Details
Required: adult and pediatric general urology
Required: advanced endoscopy, laparoscopy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, and ureteroscopy
Required: radical cystectomy with ileal conduit, radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy, and prostatectomy
Required: renal/bladder ultrasound with biopsy, TRUS biopsies, and incontinence procedures
Preferred: pelvic node dissection, robotic surgery, and partial nephrectomy with intraoperative ultrasound
Preferred: adrenalectomy, penile prosthesis, ESWL, and brachytherapy
No teaching or APP supervision required
Requirements
Board certification in Urology required
Active Colorado medical license or IMLC
Current BLS and active DEA required for credentialing
Ability to perform all required procedures
Availability for complete Friday–Monday blocks
Local/drive-in candidates preferred
