Job description A hospital in the Pueblo, CO area needs a urologist for weekend trauma call, Friday 7a to Monday 7a, from January 25 through April 30, 2027. Pay is $3,750 per 24-hour call day, so a full weekend is three call days. The first 2 hours of callback each call day are gratis, meaning unpaid and already included in the call pay. Callback after that pays $375/hr and averages 4 to 5 hours a day. Holiday call days pay $5,625, and holiday callback pays $562.50/hr. Travel is covered. Coverage is the full Friday to Monday stretch each time, and you tell us how many weekends a month you can take.

Job Responsibilities

Inpatient and ED trauma call at a Level III trauma center, about 95 percent adult and 5 percent pediatric, with roughly 20 percent of patients coming through the ED. You are the only urologist covering the weekend. Required procedures: general urology (adult and pediatric), advanced endoscopic techniques, laparoscopic surgery, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, ureteroscopy, radical cystectomy with ileo-loop conduit, radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy, renal and bladder ultrasound with biopsy, TRUS biopsy, and incontinence. Preferred but not required: pelvic node dissection, robotic surgery, partial nephrectomy, adrenalectomy, penile prosthesis, ESWL, and brachytherapy. Lab and X-ray onsite, anesthesia onsite, with RN and APP support.

Qualifications

Board certified in urology. Active Colorado license, or an active IMLC license with the LOQ in hand at name clear (the Colorado application is completed at acceptance). DEA and BLS. Clean malpractice and background. Able to perform all of the required procedures. Willing to cover the full Friday 7a to Monday 7a stretch each time. Virtual Epic training before the first day, offered Tuesdays or Fridays at 8a MT. Colorado-based and drive-in providers are highly preferred. Credentialing runs 90 days.
