Physician - Urology

Job Details:

• Provide locum weekend trauma call coverage every Friday at 7:00 AM through Monday at 7:00 AM
  
• Inpatient setting with coverage spanning the Emergency Department and call shifts
  
• Required procedures include general urology (adult and pediatric), advanced endoscopic techniques, laparoscopic surgeries, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, ureteroscopy, radical cystectomy with ileo-loop conduit, radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy, renal and bladder ultrasound with biopsy, TRUS biopsies, and incontinence management
  
• Preferred procedures include pelvic node dissection, robotic surgery, partial nephrectomies with intraoperative ultrasound, adrenalectomy, penile prosthesis, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL), and brachytherapy
  
• Practice breakdown is approximately 95% adult and 5% pediatric patients
  
• Pediatric surgical cases can be stabilized and transferred when appropriate
  
• Average callback hours per 24-hour shift are approximately 4-5 hours with a maximum of 8 hours onsite
  
• No supervision or teaching requirements
  
• Fully functioning Trauma Level III hospital with on-site lab, X-ray, RNs, APPs, and anesthesia support staff available
  
• EMR system is EPIC; prior EPIC experience required
  
• Interventional radiologists are available on-site and can be called in on weekends
  
• Board Certified in Urology required
  
• Active Colorado license or active IMLC (Letter of Qualification in hand at time of name clear) required
  
• Active BLS and DEA highly preferred and required for credentialing
  
• Candidates must be willing to cover the full Friday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM stretch with no exceptions
  
• Clean malpractice and background history required
  
• NPDB self-query must be submitted at time of presentation
