Support Staff: APP supervision required (new APPs on staff); 4 MAs, 1 CSA, 1 RN in clinic setup
EMR: Epic
Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology required
License Requirement: Active Pennsylvania Medical License or IMLC LOQ in hand required
Certifications / Compliance: Active DEA required; minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
Position Overview:
An acute care hospital system in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist for 24-hour holiday call coverage from December 23, 2026 (5:00 PM) through December 25, 2026 (7:00 AM). The role involves inpatient call coverage, emergency surgical interventions, consults, and APP supervision. Temporary privileges are available for clean credentialing files.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour holiday call coverage for hospital inpatient and emergency urology needs.
- Perform core inpatient and emergency urologic procedures as needed (cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy, prostate procedures, and emergency orchiopexy).
- Provide clinical supervision for newly hired Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Treat adult patients (18+), with potential emergency pediatric coverage for testicular torsion during call.
- Utilize Epic EMR for clinical charting, order entry, and daily documentation.
