A hospital in the Johnstown, Pennsylvania area, a Level I trauma center, needs a urologist for ongoing locum coverage starting as soon as possible. A flat $2,900 a day, with holiday pay at 1.5x for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Coverage is a mix of clinic and call, with Thanksgiving and Christmas coverage needed. Travel is covered, and the facility arranges your lodging.

Job Responsibilities

Clinic plus call, about 3 call days a week. You see 15 to 20 patients a shift, round on 2 to 4 inpatients, and respond to consults, an average of 5 to 7. The practice is mostly outpatient with some inpatient work, and you have hospital privileges. You work with a small team: 1 RN, 2 PAs or NPs, and 8 office staff. Epic EMR.

Qualifications

Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Urology or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (Urological Surgery). A current Pennsylvania license is preferred, and an IMLC license is accepted. Fellowship training preferred. Temporary privileges are available, and credentialing takes about 14 days.

Working Hours

Clinic and call in the following open dates: October 26. November 10, 11, and 23 through 30. December 21 through 25. More dates in 2027 are coming soon. Thanksgiving and Christmas coverage is needed. Take one block or several.
