Coverage: Scheduled + Optional On-Call
EMR: Epic
Practice Setting: Inpatient + Outpatient
Privileges: Hospital + Clinic
Schedule:
- 8-hour clinic shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Typical schedule: 3 clinic days + 1 OR day during the call week
- When not on call: approximately 4 clinic days + 1 OR day
- 7 days of unrestricted call per month
- Call is restricted/beeper with a 10-minute return-call response
- 30-minute radius requirement (may be 45 minutes)
Patient Volume:
- Approx. 18 patients/day
- Adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients
Procedures:
- Catheter placement
- Stent placement
- Cystoscopy
- TURP
- Ureteroscopy
- Prostate biopsy
- Circumcision
- Shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL)
- Orchiopexy
- TURBT
- Hydrocelectomy
- Spermatocelectomy
- PVP
- Litholapaxy
Clinical Scope:
- Diagnose and treat erectile dysfunction
- Kidney stones
- Male incontinence
- Cystoscopies
- Surgical assistance
- Standard urology procedures in clinic and OR
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Urology
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- 100 surgical procedures documented within the previous 24 months
- Epic experience
- Da Vinci experience is a plus, not required
Licenses Required:
- Washington medical license
- IMLC accepted with LOQ in hand
- BLS
- ACLS
Additional Call Details:
- Approximately 0–4 after-hours texts/calls
