Job description
A healthcare facility in Nebraska is seeking a Urology Physician for locum tenens call coverage supporting emergency and surgical services at a Level II trauma center. This opportunity is ideal for a Urologist, Urology Physician, or General Urology provider comfortable managing ED consults and surgical/urology call needs. Coverage is structured as 24-hour call (7a–7a) with variable daily volume and support from on-call surgical nursing/tech staff. Epic EMR is used on-site.
Job Responsibilities
Perform and manage general urology cases as required
Coordinate handoff/continuity with other urologists when appropriate
Collaborate with hospitalist team for admissions (hospitalists admit)
Qualifications
Active Nebraska medical license (required)
DEA (required)
Case logs from the last 2 years (required)
Experience with Epic EMR (required)
Working Hours
Rotating schedule
Two separate multi-day holiday coverage blocks (late November and late December)
Skills
ED consult management
