Job description Penn Highlands DuBois, a Level II trauma hub hospital in DuBois, PA, needs urology 24-hour call coverage. Confirmed 2026 dates: Oct 13 7am-Oct 15 7am, and Dec 28 7am-Dec 31 7am. Ongoing 2027 need runs approximately 4-12 shifts per month, PRN. $2,800 per 24-hour call day, $4,200 on holidays, $350/hr callback.

Job Responsibilities

Cover urology call for a busy hub hospital serving outlying Penn Highlands sites (Clearfield, Elk, Brookville). Procedures as needed: cystoscopy and/or stent placement for hematuria, kidney stone treatment with possible extraction or holmium laser lithotripsy, testicular torsion (rare), UTI management, and Foley catheter consultation for ED and other providers. Round on inpatients in the morning if a procedure was performed and the patient is in-house. Work alongside a urology PA and inpatient support staff.

Qualifications

Board certified in Urology required. Active PA license required (IMLC accepted, IMLC-only licensing support available, cannot wait on a full PA license). ACLS, BLS, DEA required. Level II trauma experience required. 1-2 years of experience preferred.

Working Hours

24-hour call shifts, 7am-7am. Confirmed: Oct 13-15 and Dec 28-31, 2026. Ongoing PRN coverage into 2027, approximately 4-12 shifts/month.

Skills

General urology call coverage, cystoscopy, stent placement, kidney stone management including holmium laser lithotripsy, emergency urologic consultation.
